Vatican would rather gay people were executed than married

The full extent of the regressive nature of the Vatican under Ratzinger was made clear this week when it was revealed that the Vatican had opposed two United Nations resolutions aimed at protecting gay and disabled people from discrimination and death.

When France proposed a resolution seeking all nations to decriminalise homosexuality, the Vatican immediately said it would oppose the resolution. This is despite the fact that up to 70 nations still have legal punishments for gay people including, in some instances, the death penalty. In a number of Islamic countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen, homosexual acts are still a capital offence.

Change.org Censoring ALL Ideas Related to Ending the Federal Reserve

Yesterday I posted an “Idea” to Change.org in an attempt to promote the issue of ending the Federal Reserve System. There were already about 5 other similar proposals, some with almost 100 votes, but I posted mine anyway. Today, ALL of those Ideas are gone.

Hitler was the perfect boss: Former maid breaks her silence on the 'charming' dictator

And her verdict on her former master: 'He was a charming man, someone who was only ever nice to me, a great boss to work for. You can say what you like, but he was a good man to us.'

Rosa's remembrances of life at the court of the tyrant make gripping reading. She saw leading Nazis come and go. Himmler, the evil party secretary; Bormann, whom she described as a 'dirty pig'; and the club-footed, sexually-obsessed propaganda minister Goebbels.

Behavioral screening -- the future of airport security?

Security experts say focus is shifting from analyzing the content of carry-ons to analyzing the content of passengers' intentions and emotions.

"We are seeing a needed paradigm shift when it comes to security," says Omer Laviv, CEO of ATHENA GS3, an Israeli-based security company.

"This 'brain-fingerprinting,' or technology which checks for behavioral intent, is much more developed than we think."

TVNL Comment: How is that for freedom and liberty? Are our troops going to protect us from this violation of our freedom and liberty?

FDIC adds 54 more banks to its 'problem list'

In the second quarter, 117 FDIC-insured institutions were on the list. Now, at 171, the number of institutions on the FDIC's "problem list" is at its highest level since late 1995.

"We've had profound problems in our financial markets that are taking a rising toll on the real economy," said FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair in a statement, adding that Tuesday's report "reflects these challenges."

Total assets held by troubled institutions climbed from $78.3 billion to $115.6 billion — a figure that suggests that the nation's top 20 banks aren't on the list, even though they are getting slammed, too, by the growing credit crisis. The FDIC does not reveal the institutions it deems troubled.

TVNL Comment: So we are to believe that every bank in the country made the same mistakes? We are falling for the second biggest scam in US history, the first being the incarnation of the Federal Reserve.

Bush Labor Department misled Congress in effort to privatize jobs

President George W. Bush's Labor Department misled Congress in an effort to prove outsourcing jobs to private companies was more efficient than assigning the jobs to government employees, according to a Government Accountability Office report released Monday.

The report found that the Department used fictional projected numbers to improve "savings reports" -- even when real numbers were already available. And when the government did find private firms to take a government job, that employee generally was either reassigned to another task with the same title or promoted.

TVNL Comment: The words is not "misled", the word is "lied". Virtually everything you have heard from this administration has been lies.

Malaysia outlaws yoga for Muslims

Millions of people in Malaysia have been banned from doing yoga because of fears it could corrupt Muslims.

The Islamic authorities have issued a ruling, known as a fatwa, instructing the country's Muslims to avoid yoga because of its Hindu roots.

TVNL Comment: There is no limit to the idiocy of religion, rather religious people.
