Trump signs executive order to cut regulations on businesses

Trump regulations orderPresident Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order requiring that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be removed.

"This will be the largest ever cut by far in terms of regulation," Trump said during a signing ceremony.

Trump signed the order, which he said was "a big one," following a meeting with small business leaders. During the meeting, Trump said the "American dream is back," adding that he wants to end regulatory discrepancy between small and big business.

Foreign Payments to Trump Firms Violate Constitution, Suit Will Claim

TrumpA liberal watchdog group plans to file a lawsuit Monday arguing that President Donald Trump is violating the Constitution's ban on officials accepting benefits from foreign governments.

The suit will claim that Trump's business dealings with foreign countries who rent space in his buildings or lend money to his real estate ventures run afoul of the foreign emoluments clause, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said in a statement Sunday evening.

NY AG: Trump can't dissolve foundation during investigation

Trump FoundationDonald Trump cannot move ahead with his plan to dismantle his charitable foundation because state prosecutors are probing whether the president-elect personally benefited from its spending, the New York attorney general's office said Tuesday.

"The Trump foundation is still under investigation by this office and cannot legally dissolve until that investigation is complete," said Amy Spitalnick, spokeswoman for state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

His detractors attacked Icahn for being a corporate raider trying to sack corporations for quick profits. Stein files for recount in Pennsylvania

Jill Stein Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein filed for a recount in Pennsylvania Monday as she pushes for a second look at the results in several states won by Donald Trump.

“We must recount the votes so we can build trust in our election system. We need to verify the vote in this and every election so that Americans of all parties can be sure we have a fair, secure and accurate voting system,” Stein said in a statement.

Stein won fewer than 50,000 votes in Pennsylvania.
