Taking a closer look at some of the most obvious proponents of this type of legislation here and abroad, we can see what their objectives might be and who will benefit most from these various bills. The most glaring player on the American scene is the ADL or Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish organization widely known for assailing perceived "anti-Semitism" and criticism of Israel, Jews and Judaism, which is odd in consideration of the fact that this hate crimes bill was named after a young man who was viciously murdered for being gay, not Jewish. Matthew Shepard's death was obviously latched onto for the protection of other special interest groups.

Our nation’s police forces prior to the criminal thug Richard Nixon were centered on community policing. MOST of their time was spent on looking for, identifying, and monitoring criminals, and responding to unusual or dangerous events that were beyond the control of ordinary folks. We appreciated those officers and were proud to say, “he is OUR Cop!” We knew that we could talk to him, kid him, see him play adult softball, and sit across from him in church.

Our government, composed, ostensibly, of the people’s own representatives has refused to take the banks – merely corporations initially created to serve the needs of the people – in hand and deal with them. The tail has become the dog. The Federal Reserve and Rubin’s sorcerer’s apprentices of deregulation have unleashed the hounds of economic hell and allowed the few who rule from behind the curtains of the financial system to sit upon the rest of the American people as if on a throne. And by that I mean toilet.
