Fake Videotape used by CNN
The report presented by CNN's Beijing Correspondent John Vause focussed on the Tibet protests in Gansu province and in the Tibetan capital Lhasa.
What was shown, however, was a videotape of the Tibet protest movement in India.
Viewers were led to believe that the protests were in China and that the Indian police shown in the videotape were Chinese cops.
The US has promised to curb air strikes by drones against suspected militants in Pakistan, as part of a joint counter-terrorism strategy agreed with the new civilian government in Islamabad, the Guardian has learned. That strategy will be supported by an aid package potentially worth more than $7bn (£3.55bn), which is due to go before Congress for approval in the next few months.
The package would triple the amount of American non-military aid to Pakistan, and is aimed at "redefining" the bilateral relationship, US officials say.
The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.
"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."
TVNL Comment: Criminal investigation 101...ask "who benefits?" Who had the means, the opportunity and the motivation? There answer to all of of these questions: the Neocons. They represented Israel & the war profiteers. They were running the war games on that day and they were the only ones in a position to force our air defense systems to stand down. And the bottom line is that they are the ONLY people to benefit from the event.
The phrase "mass graves" in Iraq has long been associated with former leader Saddam Hussein. But not anymore. In U.S.-administered and occupied Iraq people now talk of 'Bush’s mass graves.’
More and more mass graves are being unearthed with hundreds of bodies, most of them unidentified, but all of them dug in the post-Saddam era which Iraqis associate with President Bush and his occupation troops.

What a frickin’ mess. Industries have carved out new social policy. So we ought to be asking some basic questions:
What is the priority of Big Pharma? How does that priority fit into social policy as articulated by the legislative and executive branches of government?
What is the priority of Big Insurance? How does that priority fit into social policy as articulated by the legislative and executive branches of government?

Since the 2004 election, activist lawyers with ties to the Republican Party and its presidential campaigns, Republican legislators, and even the Supreme Court -- in a largely unnoticed ruling in 2006 -- have been aggressively regulating most aspects of the voting process.
