Dear World,
It's been quite a while since we've written, and seemingly even longer since we've written anything intelligent or intelligible -- nothing that wasn't scrawled in blood and abruptly shoved into your view. Certainly nothing much worth reading.
After a Constitution, Bill of Rights, and assorted amendments, we may be intellectually exhausted. You have to admit, that was a stretch of extraordinary thinking, imagining such lofty thoughts as being worth a go by mere human beings.
Of course, founding this country on genocide and slavery are facts that have kept many of us up, late at night, stark awake, inconsolably saddened.
And, as you can plainly see from modern events here, we all remain clueless how to honestly engage such horrific histories, or even begin to make such things right.
It appears we are doomed to make tragic, irrevocable mistakes -- even while trying to do good, or trying to do something worthwhile. Perhaps our folly is our fate; perhaps we can break free of it in future. It is not for we few to know.
Well, not to be too maudlin here, especially not when you often remind us our finest hour may well have been helping the whole world recover after World War Two. That's always very nice of you to say, but it makes us blush. Some of it was an apology in goods for all the destruction we wreaked.
Plus, there were plenty of capitalists here who realized a vast market of need had been created everywhere bombs fell. Many of these generous heads of industry had ulterior motives in helping you back to your feet, certain they could chain your hands later.
But, to put the best possible shine on it: You're welcome for the hand up. We're happy we could help.
The real reason we're writing after all this time is because we've been getting more and more alarmed lately. After all, spending more than a decade in Iraq and Afghanistan, after being tricked there by blatant lies, is difficult enough to explain to ourselves, let alone others -- even if you take into account the planned oil thefts and everything else.
Such things are symptomatic of a new twist to an old problem. We are alarmed by it, and want you to know of the danger.
We have finally ascertained the extreme, far right wing, conservative Christian fringes have utterly and completely lost their higher minds -- if they ever had them -- and with it, all call to reason.
Simply said: All the low-hanging fruit is gone, at home and abroad, and won't be coming back. This makes capitalists restless and crazy as meth addicts, and as unprincipled and dangerous.
If it's one thing capitalists adore -- aside from free, slave labor, and a no-nonsense dictator with whom they can easily deal -- it's low-hanging fruit. That is, the ability to scoop up and loot whatever they like for a fast buck.
Now that the low-hanging fruit is gone, they have started feeding on us, the People. Once we are gone -- except for a few, to run the machines -- they will start feeding on each other, even more than happens today.
To make things clear and plain: Times are getting uglier each day. It does not appear the low-hanging fruit will ever return. You know for yourself how far right we have all lurched. What is now the center doubles for fascism-lite.
You have probably noticed how little your own right wing extremists respond to reason these days. While it is true they never responded easily or well to anything but superstition, they at least gave some minimal credit and credence to reason and fact. No longer.
Between waves of propaganda from far-right media and the crushing programming they receive from their rapidly multiplying hate groups, right wing conservative extremists have become ticking time bombs. There is no telling who or what will set them off.

If you add in easy access to guns and ammunition -- it's ironically so much easier to get assault weapons and banana clips here on sale than it is to obtain a mental health appointment at a free clinic -- it's a surefire recipe for trouble. Sorry -- no pun intended.
You have probably noticed the increasing number of shooting sprees -- always by right-wing conservative extremists, if you've not noticed. It's only a matter of time until these severely troubled people, and their treasonous controllers, decide to elect one or two groups of people as scapegoats, and that will be the beginning of the end, as Germany -- no offense -- well knows.
Make no mistake: After almost 50 years of plotting and spinning all their slow webs, the fascists, financiers, and capitalists are deadly serious this time, and will not be stopped -- not until we reach a fevered Neo-Feudalism or crash down into a Dark Ages Redux.
You can already see how far they have progressed, and they are closing in fast. We frankly do not see them halting march this time -- except, perhaps, at China's door. Even then, give it time -- the fascists will take down China, too.
For every man or family who has three beans, there will always be men and gangs who believe they have holy right to all three.
Even though it's been some time since you've heard sane words from our shores, we wanted to reach out one last time, and let you hear this warning -- along with our regrets for not being much better world citizens.
We could have been truly great, but the Old Destroyers -- greed, power, and religion -- snatched our helm some time back. We squandered our greatness into dust, and we sailed it into the far winds.
Our only excuse: It is nigh impossible to think calmly and act rationally, when one is constantly being probed, night and day, by millions, desperately searching for any sign of weakness -- heartlessly, head to toe, from within, and by one's own.
