Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he “will not give in to pressure” as tens of thousands of Israelis demonstrate against his government demanding a ceasefire deal and the release of captives held in Gaza.
The Wafa news agency is reporting that the Palestinian child was killed after being shot in the head by an Israeli sniper in the Tulkarem refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The agency identified the victim as Mohamed Kanaan.
It said the Israeli sniper also shot Kanaan’s father in his waist.
The incident comes as Israeli forces raided Tulkarem for a second time this week. The soldiers are also laying siege to the Jenin refugee camp for a seventh day.
